Openbox v8s forum12/17/2022 So can you access 'satellite list' in the installation menu? If so are there any sats listed there? You can add them individually by using the green button/arrow keys and ok to select when complete(you need name and degrees/location) and in this menu you must have the 'tick' beside the name of the satellite you want to view. You might still have the same dish on the roof but you've changed over the receiver or brains of the system and the new one has no idea of your previous setup. The screen display of boot and setp? on startup are normal.ĭependant on whether the re-seller has programmed the receiver for local area before purchase, it may not have any satellites or channels loaded. This may help, from your post it sounds like the menus are in English. Once you have selected the satellites you should find that the menu is no longer 'greyed out' If you cannot find the satellites you require you can always add using the green button, rememeber to tick it once added. Then tick the satellites you wish to use by pressing the 'OK' button. You have to select the satellites you wish to search first. Would really appreciate any help I can get. Hope this makes sense to someone, because I have no idea. | | |_| |_ | | (this obviously means No Channel) ![]() When I turn the unit on it first displays "boot" then the display says: Keeps telling me to follow the user manual. Have contacted the seller who just doesn't understand the problem. My knowledge is limited and I would really appreciate your help. I searched the forums but could not find this problem anywhere. The USB menus are also all greyed out (so no updating fimware possible). The are no channels saved on the receiver and I basically can't get it to work. I can't access Antenna Setup or even the scan functions. Hooked up the Openbox s10 and most of the menus are greyed out. This should have been an easy exercise - unplug the old receiver and connect the new one. I recently got myself an Openbox s10 to get some of the DVB-S2 channels on I19. ![]() I already have a satellite setup which works fine.
